Sprint Bloatware Bug in KEYone: Patch Update Will Arrive Soon


We shared an article a few days ago related with a bug problem on the Blackberry KEYone sold by Sprint and some buyers/users started complaining about bloatware apps of sprint getting immediately installed after uninstalling it. Formerly we thought Sprint was using SprintID app intended to stop the users from uninstalling their bloatware from the phone.  But we are not certain as some of the users have also claimed not finding this problem on their phone. Then we start pondering about the bug inside the SprintID app and now we can confirm it as Sprint is going to roll out an update to solve this bloatware problem in KEYone.

At this point, Sprint came up with a statement has given an official announcement on this matter, not merely confirming it, but also decided to roll out a patch update over the air to resolve it. Sprint also stated that SprintID app is created to deploy only during the time of device activation, soon after the process is finished, SprintID is not meant to operate again.

Sprint also provided some techniques to overcome this problem.  By following this Blackberry KEYone users can remove upgrades to the BlackBerry Launcher and thus put a stop to the problem from occurring. Go to phone Settings, then select Apps, choose Blackberry Launcher from the list, then select View Details in Play Store and choose to remove/uninstall the application and restart the phone.
