A few days ago we heard the news of Blackberry soon to get the update of the latest and recently introduced Android version Oreo 8.0. Now more surprising news is coming from Canadian Firm as they are going to launch their own Android Operating system packed with all safety and security attributes. This new secure operating system will be named as BlackBerry Secure that will be made available with a BlackBerry-branded handset.

We also got reports on the firm planning discussions with several international handset manufacturers to render its version of the secure Android operating system under a licensing agreement. Under this licensing agreement, a handset maker has the opportunity to roll-out their own-branded handset with the security functions as well as a safe private version of the Android operating system.

In India, Optiemus is the distributor of Blackberry’s mobile handsets and additional components as they made a 10-year agreement with the Canadian firm.  Optiemus had also introduced the KeyOne Limited Edition Black in India earlier this month. BlackBerry has made equivalent agreements with TCL(China) and BB Merah Putih(Indonesia). TCL deals with Chinese as well as worldwide markets for Blackberry.

BlackBerry introduced their initial smartphone in Android platform couple of years ago(February 2015) named as BlackBerry Priv slider.
