Latest renders of Xiaomi Mi 7 appeared online exposing on-screen fingerprint scanner

A few weeks back CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun stated that Xiaomi’s following flagship(probably Xiaomi Mi 7) will use the high-end Snapdragon 845 chip. As rumors and beliefs regarding this handset went on growing we got some reports from unofficial sources that this handset is not going to have an on-screen fingerprint scan and instead of it they consider 3D face identification support. This assumption created as Synaptics who is presently at the base of on-screen fingerprint sensor development pointed out Vivo and Huawei as possible users but didn’t speak about Xiaomi as well as Mi 7 which is believed to be launch at beginning of 2018. Now a whole new list of Mi 7 image renders reveals certain specs which don’t match old renders.

From the available images, you can visibly find an on-screen fingerprint sensor which is located at bottom-center of this full-screen handset. On the backside of the device, you will find a dual camera setup which is positioned horizontally unlike vertically positioned cameras of which we have observed in old renders. Along with the dual cameras, there is also an LED flash located far right to the cameras. You must bear in mind the fact that substantially nothing has been confirmed officially and the most of these large pieces of details are simply derived from beliefs and speculations.

Former theories and speculations depict that apart from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will also get a dual glass, metallic design, a 5.65-inch screen with 18: 9 aspect ratio full screen layout aid for wireless battery charging along with other capabilities. The 845 Snapdragon processor is going to be supported with a minimum of 6GB of RAM which probably is the lowest offered RAM capacity. We didn’t get any details regarding storage space of the handset yet, we assume that it sure will get an expandable 64/128GB ROM. Talking about camera unit, It got dual backside cameras (12MP + 20MP, a mix of IMX380 + IMX350 sensor). This handset will be powered by a 3200 mAh battery and will include MIUI 9 user interface. Additionally, Xiaomi might also launch a Plus variant of Mi 7 with bigger 6.01-inch display screen along with a 3500 mAh battery power. When it comes to rates, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be available for a price tag $408(approx) whereas the Plus variant will be available for $454(approx).
