OnePlus has released the beta build Android Oreo to OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T and for the OnePlus 5 several weeks ago, Now their latest handset OP5T can also anticipate the arrival of Android 8.0 Oreo in a little while as the firm just declared the release of Open Beta Android Oreo upgrade for OnePlus 5T. At the launch event of OnePlus 5T, the firm had guaranteed that they are going to roll out the Android Oreo beta upgrade to the handset towards this year end and OnePlus 5 will receive the beta build by end of this November.

Now OnePlus Germany has shared on their twitter regarding the release of Android Oreo beta for OnePlus 5T. The tweet shows an image of the handset with the Oreo symbol along with the caption “Open Beta starts now”. This tweet clearly implies that OnePlus 5T will shortly receive Android Oreo beta build upgrade. Even if the tweet ensures that the Android Open Beta version is all geared up to hit the OP5T, the handset is still to be made accessible for download at the OnePlus 5T ROM Downloads page. Furthermore, We didn’t get any reports or confirmations from OP5T users receiving the upgrade on their handsets in the meantime.

Though we are still to receive the formal changelog, we are aware of the latest Android 8.0 Oreo upgrade is going to deliver the key Oreo characteristics such as the AutoFill, Instant apps, Picture-in-picture mode,  faster boot times, Notification dots and lot more. Several weeks ago, Pete Lau (OnePlus CEO) stated in Chinese OnePlus forums that the Oneplus 5T users soon will get the virtual navigation keys substituted by gestures considering the request from many users. He also asserted that the feature is currently at trials and will be made available for users in a future upgrade. So we can also anticipate this feature along with beta Oreo update.
